Good news comes from New Hampshire!
Governor Chris Sununu just signed two huge firearm privacy bills into law!
HB 1186 – Prohibits assigning specific merchant category codes to the sale of firearms, ammunition, and firearm accessories. This means firearms retailers cannot provide a specific firearms code to banks or financial institutions that processes credit or debit card payments on behalf of their business. And, when dealing with the sale of firearms, ammunition, or firearms accessories, credit card issuers and their networks may only use a merchant category code listed for general merchandise retailers or sporting goods retailers.
HB 1336 – Prohibits any public or private employer that receives public funds from the federal or state government or any subdivision thereof, to ban employees from storing firearms or ammunition in their vehicle while on company property as long as that vehicle is locked, and the firearm or ammunition is not visible.
Amongst daily political onslaught carried out by anti-gunners, it is a genuine relief to see elected officials using their power to rightfully defend our God-given Second Amendment rights.
This serves as a great reminder that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and the GOA is fighting every day to reach it. No matter how small or large our victories are, they wouldn’t be possible without your continued support and persistent pressure on elected officials to fulfil their duty.
